Conservation park

Adjacent to the Belle-Dame project in Symbiocité, the La Prairie Conservation Park offers a unique and appealing environment with an exceptional natural character, marked by abundant greenery. Here you will find tree species such as maple, birch, oak, and poplar.

You will find more than 11.4 km of multifunctional trails with interpretation panels connecting the various residential neighbourhoods of La Prairie. In winter, these trails transform into a network of cross-country skiing and snowshoe paths. Enjoy a green space maintained year-round and accessible to all citizens. The La Prairie Conservation Park is a protected area under Quebec’s wildlife conservation law, aimed at preserving wildlife and its habitat in a sustainable-development perspective.

Bike paths

The City of La Prairie is nothing less than a paradise for cycling enthusiasts. With interconnected bike paths that allow you to travel across the entire territory, a municipal network of more than 50 km is available to you. This includes a path running along the St. Lawrence River (La Riveraine), extending from Sainte-Catherine to Varennes; the seaway dyke — a unique 14 km path in Quebec that allows you to ride at the center of the river on a six-meter-wide strip between Sainte-Catherine and Île Notre-Dame; as well as the new Samuel-de-Champlain Bridge path.

Destination La Prairie Shopping Centre

Located a 5-minute walk from Belle-Dame Symbiocité, the Destination La Prairie Shopping Centre includes all major service and convenience businesses such as Super C, Jean Coutu, Canac, Dollarama, Scotiabank, a Canada Post office, a gas station, as well as several restaurants and other service businesses.

La Prairie Farmers’ Market

Since 1968, the La Prairie Farmers’ Market has allowed residents of the city to enjoy the best products from local agricultural producers from May 1st to October 31st.

Located just a few minutes from the Belle-Dame Symbiocité project, the market welcomes food lovers seeking freshness.
On the menu: local fruits and vegetables, fresh meats and fish, homemade bakery products, fine Quebec cheeses, and much more. A nursery and several flower vendors complete the experience for gardening enthusiasts.

REM South Shore

The new Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) is easily accessible for the benefit of all residents of Brossard and La Prairie. The South Shore station is located just 5 minutes by car from the Belle-Dame Symbiocité project.

It features a free incentive parking lot with 3,000 spaces. It is also possible to access the Panama station from the La Prairie incentive parking lot located on Taschereau Boulevard.
The REM electric train allows South Shore residents to reach downtown Montreal quickly. Eventually, it will cover most of the Greater Montreal area and will provide direct access to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport.

La Prairie Municipal Arena

Newly built in Symbiocité.

• Facilities for sports organizations (offices, meeting rooms, and equipment storage rooms)
• A reception hall and meeting rooms available for rent
